The route from Montréal to Charlevoix is a road trip experience with pockets of stop-and-stare. The drive is pulchritudous, saturated with nature’s abyss. The province attuned to its beauty—hikes up signage to pull over and look out. I took every opportunity (binoculars in hand) to admire Mother Nature’s Tundra. Canada's massive land is stupendous; the journey was just as enjoyable as the destination— hands on the wheels, staring through all mirrors in admiration.

Impermanence is life's greatest teacher. Tides reflect the ebbs and flows that we often can’t bear. I started an early morning hike at St.Siméon, admiring a pocket of the St. Lawrence River that exudes peaceful waters. Three hours later, the tide pulled the water away. Nature's aquatic journey now transcends beyond the horizon, leaving rocks and sand behind. Embrace the moment because you don’t know how long it will last.

A chair is still a chair, even when there's no one sittin' there
But a chair is not a house and a house is not a home
When there's no one there to hold you tight
And no one there you can kiss goodnight

A room is still a room, oh, even when there's nothin' there but gloom
But a room is not a house and a house is not a home
When the two of us are far apart
And one of us has a broken heart.
